Happy Halloween

halloween, costumes

I grew up hating Halloween. I never really had a great costume. I think I was a baby every year. It was an easy costume that required very little money. Costumes were not something we spent money on when I was a kid. And so, all the kids would dress up and look so great and I was always a baby. It included pigtails and pajamas and both were easy and cheap.

As I grew older, I remember the haunted houses. My lease favorite place on earth. I absolutely hated them. I am easily spooked and guess what, they can sense the fear! They can spot me and my deer in headlights eyes from a mile away and they have always been relentless. I was terrified! But all my friends were going, so I would go along.

Now fast forward to me as a mom and this is something I love about the mom hustle. Something you absolutely hated as a kid can be one of your favorite things as an adult! Today, my three make this one of the best! I have loved their enthusiasm and dressing them up in their favorite costumes every year. When they were little I made some of their costumes. And we went to Boo at the Zoo at Brookfield Zoo with all of their cousins every year. It was simply the best.

As they are getting older, we are still the house they all end up at. It is my favorite tradition. They go their separate ways with all of their friends, but they end up at my house! I love it so very much and feel so overjoyed that this is a tradition we now have every year.

I hope you all have a spooktacular day with your little goblins and gremlins! I am so blessed in these amazing three! Happy Halloween! What are your traditions? Share them with me in the comments section!
