So…. a guy walks into a bar

Laughter at times seems to be lost in the Hustle of Mom life.

We all have a never-ending to do list. I have to get everything done at work, I have to fill my days every weekend, I have to clean the house, I have to work in the yard, I have to do the laundry.

Jen Hatmaker has a podcast called “For the Love” that is the best! She makes me laugh and think and cry. She just has an amazing way of connecting with moms. I feel like she’s talking to me directly sometimes!

My favorite series was “For the Love of Laughter” as she interviewed comedians and talked about how in our world where we are watching hardship and violence on the news everyday it’s ok to still laugh.

There is such an important place in our lives to worry about what’s going on in the world around us. We need to talk to our kids about all that’s unsafe and scary. But slow down – laugh with them! My youngest has a belly laugh that is infectious. She thinks everything is funny – even when she’s not listening to me! And when I slow down and allow myself to set aside that to do list it feels so amazing to enjoy silly moments together and really connect.

Surround yourself with people who smile easily and laugh often!
Belly Laugh when you can!
