Start your day with positivity

I love reading my HMH blog posts from all of the other wonderful women on this blog! And it’s amazing to hear from all of our readers who can relate to this crazy life we are living. It’s inspiring to feel the connection to the words and I love the community we are building. We are all different, but we are all doing the Mom Hustle and there is no doubt that we love our kids more than anything!

One other common thread I see, is trying to find sanity through all of the chaos of our daily lives. Getting everyone up and out the door. Shuffling them to school, sports and helping them with homework to finish out the day. And truly, the day is never done. There is ALWAYS something left undone.

I wish I could do yoga or meditate. I just am not zen enough for either of these two activities. I know they would be great stress relievers and in concept I am behind both of these things 100%. But the reality is, I am just not zen! My brain doesn’t function that way and both of these things completely stress me out. I just don’t think God ever intended my body to twist and turn in those ways. And my brain was never meant to be idol, it’s a speed demon.

I don’t think I am the only one. So how do I keep myself grounded and clear the cobwebs out of my brain? About 2 years ago, I started reading positive quotes on Pinterest every morning. I take about 10 to 15 minutes and I search for inspiring or positive quotes. I love to see the artwork and the messages always speak to me.

The picture above shows just a few from this morning. The gas you use to fill up the tank determines the kind of drive you will have each day. Try it out! Drop us a line. What do you do to keep yourself uplifted and get through your stressful days?
