Stop “should-ing” All Over Yourself

I don’t know about you, but throughout the day I find myself in a complete “should” storm.  I should be focused more on work, I should be focused more on the kids and their e-learning, I should have more patience, I should learn to sew, I should get up early to run, I shouldn’t have eaten pizza for lunch: and the list of “should” could go on forever.

I have a feeling I’m not alone, so let’s agree to take our steaming piles of “should” and say Fix It!

Fix It!  Focus on what you CAN do, and what you WILL do.  Get out of your head and all your should-y thoughts.  There is enough “should” surrounding all of us right now, and there isn’t a whole lot of control we have about that.

So, today, on this fabulous Friday morning, instead of thinking, “I should organize my closet”, or “I should clean up the yard”, or wonder; “should my son be in the bathroom that long?” and “should he start doing his own laundry?”; I’m going to just say fix it!  I’m going to take action and break my should-y habit.

Today I am going to go for a run, organize my closet, and show my son how to do a load of his own laundry.  Those are three things I can absolutely accomplish today. So let’s all decide to say, “fix that should” and have the best fixin day ever!
