Tips for Surviving Spring Sports

Yo Mama! LOL! What? It made me laugh. I’m easy like that!

Spring is in the air! Well, not really. It’s SOOOOOooooo cold outside! But my first spring game is next Monday night! It better warm up quick! I know they won’t play in 20 degree weather, but guess what, they will play in 30 and 40 degree weather! And DANG… it’s cold outside. So I thought I’d share some of my survival tips and PRAY that you share yours! Mama’s unite! And keep our booties WARM! That’s the name of this game! Go Team! RAH! RAH! RAH! Brrr! Brrr!

FIRST, do you have one of those heated jackets? OR heated pants? OOHHHH heated pants! That sounds amazing! No, I don’t either, but I think that’s where I have to begin. Brilliant! We deserve them! Let’s all get heated pants this year! LOL!

SECOND, I use my son’s teddy bear sleeping bag! Yes, sleeping bag! It’s so wonderful. You know that updraft right up the back of your legs no matter how many fleece tie blankets you have on? Well, this solves all that. And you only need one! Bonus!

THIRD, get yourself the cutest warmest hat. I got one of those CC hats. I love it and I lined the inside with fleece (leopard print of course), cuz I am crafty like that! And it’s so warm and wonderful. It’s soft and not itchy! Love it!

FOURTH, a thermal mug to hold my drink and to warm me from the inside out! There are so many options here! But I never go to a game without my warm tea. Mmmmm, makes me feel so warm and warms my hands too!

FIFTH, hand warmers! Yes, we have an industrial size box of hand warmers in this house. We use them all season long! Don’t underestimate the power of WARM HAND!

SIXTH, my UGG boots! Yes, they are worth it. The lining is the key and my feet stay warm no matter how cold it is outside. Even the tips of my toes!

Those are my BIG 6! What tips do you have for making it through this early spring sports season? We would love to hear from you!
